Railcar Creative was founded in 2009 in Montreal by a small group of designers and developers who believed the web deserved better. What started as a three-person studio above a coffee shop on Saint-Laurent Boulevard has grown into an internationally recognized creative practice with offices in Montreal and Toronto and a network of collaborators spanning four continents.

Our philosophy is rooted in the idea that technology should serve emotion, not the other way around. Every project begins with a deep immersion into the client's world, their audience, and the cultural context in which the work will live. We treat each engagement as a partnership, not a transaction, and we measure success by the lasting impact our work has on people who experience it.

We are committed to open-source contribution, having released several widely adopted tools for scroll performance, animation primitives, and developer workflows. We believe that sharing knowledge elevates the entire industry, and that the best work emerges when craft, curiosity, and generosity intersect.

Interactive DevelopmentHigh-performance web experiences built with WebGL, GSAP, and custom scroll engines. We obsess over 60fps animations, accessibility, and sub-second load times so every interaction feels native and effortless.

Creative DirectionWe shape the conceptual and visual narrative across every deliverable, from campaign launches to product ecosystems. Our directors work embedded with your team to maintain creative coherence at scale.

Motion DesignFrame-by-frame animation, procedural motion systems, and interface choreography. We design movement that communicates hierarchy, guides attention, and adds emotional depth to digital products.

UX & Product DesignResearch-driven design grounded in behavioral data, usability testing, and rapid prototyping. We map user journeys end-to-end and deliver interfaces that balance beauty with measurable business outcomes.
